Description

25+ newly hand-picked eggs of this beautiful killifish, packed in peat. Since these are freshly picked, there will be some eggs that don't develop, but you should hatch out a dozen or so fry (incubation is about 3 months in peat, 3-4 weeks if you put them back in water).

"Dwarf" is a bit misleading; these guys get 4" or larger when full grown, only a little smaller than the Blue gularis. This is a classic aquarium strain with no collection location or data. Pictured is the male of the parent pair. Please note, the camera flash didn't catch his full color; he has a lot of green and blue, especially along the top. Females, as usual, have very little coloration or markings.

I start fry out on vinegar eels or microworms, and newly hatched brine shrimp. I also usually add a bit of java moss to the hatching container to theoretically provide a continuous source of infusoria. As they grow, they will accept most frozen "meaty" foods like brine shrimp, bloodworms, and mysis, and will even accept some flake and small pellets. They of course relish live brine shrimp and blackworms as well.

I ship to US only, usually the Monday after payment clears. Please include $7.00 for Priority Mail in box with heat pack. Shipping may need to be coordinated around weather and postal holidays. Payment by money order or paypal.

Please note: I ship to the address provided in your payment. If paying by paypal, please, please make sure that shipping address is correct. Shipping days get hectic, and it's easy to miss requests to ship elsewhere. Thanks...
