100+ newly hand-picked eggs of this beautiful killifish, packed in peat and mailed First Class. Since these are freshly picked, there will be some eggs that don't develop, but you should hatch out anywhere from a dozen to several dozen fry when the time comes (usually about 3 months). The Beira 98 strain is well established in the hobby, and in my opinion, one of the most spectacular of all aquarium fish. Pictured is "dad" of these eggs. Females, as usual, have very little coloration or markings.
N. rachovii was once considered a rather challenging annual killifish, but I would consider them more intermediate these days. The biggest challenge is that newly hatched babies can't quite handle baby brine shrimp for a few days, so a smaller food like paramecium, vinegar eels or microworms is advised. I also usually add a bit of java moss to the hatching container to theoretically provide a continuous source of infusoria. They'll usually start eating at least the "wings" off of newly hatched brine shrimp in a few days, and consume them whole within a week or so. As they grow, they will accept most frozen "meaty" foods like brine shrimp, bloodworms, and mysis, and will even accept some flake and small pellets. They of course relish live brine shrimp and blackworms as well.
I ship to US only. Shipping may need to be coordinated around weather.
Payment by money order or paypal.
