One Pair of Nothobranchius guentheri Zanzibar TAN 14-2 "Blue" - guentheri Killifish (male and female)

young adults 1 to 1.25 inches long, colored up and almost ready to breed.
*Note* the Females in this hatch have not grown as fast as the Males, and so are smaller, and can benefit from some extra growth/feeding before mating.

Nothobranchius guentheri of the Zanzibar TAN 14-2 collection location are a beautiful Annual Killifish that has shown to be very prolific. Eggs are lain in Peat/Substrate, and need to be stored for 3-4 Months before hatching. The "Blue" variety is an offshoot of the "Zanzibar TAN 14-2" Line. These beautiful fish are missing the Red pigment, making the predominant color a bright iridescent Blue\White. In every other way, they are identical to N. guentheri Zanzibar TAN 14-2. Photo is of a Parent and the male you receive should look very similar. Like most killifish, the females are mostly colorless. They may occasionally try to fly off to the next life, So keep a lid on �em.

My fish room is maintained at 72-78 deg F. My Killi tanks have no heaters, and the fish do fine at fish room temperatures. I use RO water re-mineralized with SeaChem Equilibrium (or a custom in house mix that is similar) to a Hardness of 4-6 dH, alkalinity of 3-5 dKh, and a pH of 7.2 to 7.5. The TDS ranges from 150ppm to 250ppm. No salt (NaCl) is used or added to the tanks, though a small amount may be added to bagging water for transport.

All livestock has been bred and raised in my fish room. No fresh imports, and none of the "bonus" pests and diseases that come with fresh imports.
