Description

IMPORTANT: I ship to the address provided in your payment. If paying by paypal, please, please make sure that shipping address is correct before clicking the send button. Shipping days get hectic, and it's easy to miss requests to ship elsewhere. Thanks...

Auction is for one nice young pair of the beautiful Blue Gularis killifish Fundulopanchax sjoestedti Loe. They are about 1.5" - 2" long as of this writing, colored up nicely and beginning to lay a few eggs. This appears to be the only pair of these in this batch.

One of the bluest and most sought after locations of the Blue Gularis group, Loe has a sky blue background with red markings. Picture is a male from a previous generation. Males get 6", maybe 7" in length with a deeply forked trident tail. Females as usual have little color or markings. A moderately easy killifish to keep and breed: they eat flake, pellet, live and frozen foods (brine, bloodworms, blackworms) voraciously. Great jumpers; keep 'em covered.

Parameters: I don't use heaters, so tanks are in the low 70s in winter and high 70s in summer. Our water is moderately hard (140mg/l) with a pH of 7.5, and I add one tablespoon of aquarium salt per 5 gallons. TDS is about 200 out of the tap, but my addition of salt brings it up to 1000 or so.

Shipping: Shipping time may need to be coordinated around postal holidays and weather. Priority Mail is $25 BUT is somewhat risky in cold weather, so I can't guarantee live arrival. Express Mail (1-2 days) runs from $35 to $75, depending on your distance from Milwaukee, is highly recommended. Please email a list of fish you wish to purchase and your ZIP code, and I will get you a quote.

Payment: please pay by paypal within 3 days of purchase. I usually send out an email within a day of auction end, but feel free to email whenever you wish. I would prefer to send a paypal invoice, so please let me know your quantity and shipping choices. I am often looking to clear tanks to make room for the next hatch, so prompt payment is always appreciated.

Replacement: FOR EXPRESS MAIL ONLY: In the unlikely event that fish perish during shipping, I will either replace or refund the price of the fish, provided that you let me know of the loss within two hours of the time tracking shows delivery. The most dangerous part of their trip is often the time spent sitting in the mailbox or on the porch. If you unable to be home for mail delivery, please consider having the parcel held at your local post office for you to pick up. Shipping charges are not refundable.
