Auction is for one nice young pair of the beautiful killifish Fundulopanchax fallax (kribianus) Fifinda ADX 09-301. They are about 1" long as of this writing, just beginning to color up. Pictures are of a juvenile male about this age, and older males in prime coloration from a previous batch. When full sized, they replace some of the orange on the body with blue tones. Limited additional pairs available at this time.

One of my new favorite Fundulopanchax, males get a bright orange with very bold black markings when they are feeling their oats. Color changes dramatically with mood, lighting, temperature, etc. Picture is a male from a previous generation. Males get 4", or so in length; females are a bit smaller. Females as usual have little color or markings. A moderately easy killifish to keep: they eat flake, pellet, live and frozen foods (brine, bloodworms, blackworms) voraciously. I had some difficulty getting many eggs from these; hoping to do better with this generation. Great jumpers; keep 'em covered.

Parameters: I don't use heaters, so tanks are in the low 70s in winter and high 70s in summer. Our water is moderately hard (140mg/l) with a pH of 7.5, and I add one tablespoon of aquarium salt per 5 gallons. TDS is about 200 out of the tap, but my addition of salt brings it up to 1000 or so.

Shipping: Shipping time may need to be coordinated around postal holidays and weather. Priority Mail is too unreliable duirng the holiday shopping period, so I generally do not ship by that method until after New Year's. Email me if you wish to try it, but live arrival is not guaranteed. Express Mail (1-2 days) usually starts at about $55, depending on your distance from Milwaukee, and is highly recommended. Please email a list of fish you wish to purchase and your ZIP code, and I will get you a quote.

Payment: please pay by paypal within 3 days of purchase. The email address that Aquabid provides in the winning bidder notice is my paypal address, so if you know your total, feel free to pay before contacting me. Otherwise, I usually send out an email within a day of auction end. Please let me know if you would like me to send a paypal invoice. I am often looking to clear tanks to make room for the next hatch, so prompt payment is always appreciated.

Replacement: FOR EXPRESS MAIL ONLY: In the unlikely event that fish perish during shipping, I will either replace or refund the price of the fish, provided that you let me know of the loss within two hours of the time tracking shows delivery. The most dangerous part of their trip is often the time spent sitting in the mailbox or on the porch. If you unable to be home for mail delivery, please consider having the parcel held at your local post office for you to pick up. Shipping charges are not refundable.
