Description

6 juvenile, unsexed fundulopanchax Gardneri P82 and 6 juvenile, unsexed epiplatys dageti Monroviae. I keep mine in hard Lake Erie tap water at room temperature which ranges from 65-68 degrees depending the season. Egg production is steady with both fish, even at the lower end of the temperature range. I keep my breeding pair in a bare 5 or 10 gallon aquarium with a sponge filter and a couple sinking and a couple floating yarn mops. I hand pick eggs and water incubate. The dageti hatch in about 10-14 days. The gardneri hatch in about 21 days. I feed free swimming fry microworms or vinegar eels for the first week or so and then live baby brine. Dageti growth is steady. The gardneri growth rate is rapid. The dageti have not shown any secondary sex characteristic yet. The gardneri have recently begun to exhibit secondary sex characteristics. Both fish are actively feeding on Tetramin flake, frozen brine shrimp, chopped frozen bloodworms and an occasional squirt of live baby brine shrimp. If you would like a microworm or vinegar eel starter culture, just let me know when the auction closes and I will include one for you at no charge. Shipping is $15 non-refundable on top of the winning bid. It includes an insulated box and necessary heat packs to get the fish to you in excellent condition. This auction will ship Monday 11/18, so payment is due at the close of auction on Sunday 11/17. If payment is not received as requested, I will relist the auction. Thanks for looking.
