Description

2 adult pairs of Epiplatys Dageti Monroviae. These are one of my favorite killifish. Although I maintain them in my fish room, I rarely have any to offer. Hatches are heavily male. Out of 20 fry I may get 3 or 4 females. They are easy to keep and maintain. I keep 2 pairs in a bare 10 gallon with a couple floating and a couple sinking yarn mops. My hard Lake Erie tap water is kept at about 68 degrees. Neither egg production or sex ratio seem affected by temperature. At 68 degrees my fish live in excess of 2 years. I hand pick eggs and water incubate. Eggs hatch in about 14 days. Free swimming fry will eat newly hatched brine shrimp, but I think they feed much better on microworms for the first week or two. I feed my adults Tetramin flake, frozen brine shrimp and chopped frozen bloodworms. Dageti are expert jumpers especially during water changes so keep them covered. Shipping is $15 non-refundable on top of the winning bid. These fish will ship Monday 2/4, so payment is requested by the end of the day Sunday 2/3.
