Description

This auction is for 8 juvenile, unsexed, aphanius mento Ereli Konya Turkey(about 1/4"-1/2"). In breeding coloration the males are stunning(see photo of adult male). Dark blue to black with white dots. They thrive in my hard Lake Erie tap water. I keep mine at about 68 degrees. Several degrees cooler in winter. They are mop spawners with the males establishing a territory. They coax females into their territory to spawn. A small number of eggs are laid daily. Eggs can be hand picked and water incubated or the entire spawning mop can be removed and incubated in a separate container. Incubation is fast. 5-8 days. Free swimming fry eat baby brine. I feed my adults Tetramin flake, frozen brine shrimp and frozen bloodworms. The fish up for auction are currently eating crushed Tetramin flake, chopped frozen brine shrimp and live baby brine shrimp. Shipping is $15 non-refundable on top of the winning bid. This auction will ship Saturday 11/24 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Payment is requested by the end of the day on Friday 11/23. If payment is not received as requested,I will relist the auction.
