Description

This auction is for 10 unsexed, juvenile, chromaphyosemion volcanum Ekondo Titi CB3SR 07/21. I am reasonably certain there are more than 10 fish in the tank, but there are at least 10 fish. I need the tank space so whatever is in there is yours. Some of these fish are sexable and there appears to be mixed sexes. Some of the fish are not sexable yet so I am offering them as a group of unsexed fish. They are an easy mop spawner. They are very peaceful so they are best kept in a species only tank. Even dageti are a bit much for them at feeding time. Males engage in sparring rituals to attract females. Male fry undergo a sudden and drastic color change as they mature. Gray bodied fish suddenly become gold/blonde before assuming male coloration after a couple weeks at the gold stage. I keep mine at room temperature(68-72 depending on season). They do not suffer at temperatures into the mid 70's. I hand pick eggs and water incubate. Incubation is about 14 days. You can incubate in peat as well. Fry are hardy and I initially start them on microworms. After a week or so they will begin to eat baby brine shrimp and 5-50 micron golden pearls. Growth is pretty rapid. I feed my adults Tetramin flake, frozen brine shrimp, frozen bloodworms and an occasional squirt of baby brine. They are long lived at over 2 years. I will no longer be working with this strain of fish. Shipping is $15 non-refundable on top of the winning bid. These fish will ship Tuesday 10/9. As such, payment is requested by the end of the day Monday 10/8. If payment is not received as requested, I will relist the auction. Thanks for looking.
