Description

1 adult pair of epiplatys dageti Monroviae. This pair is actively laying viable eggs. This is one of my favorite killifish. A great beginners mop spawner as well. I keep my breeding pair in a bare 5 gallon aquarium with yarn spawning mops. They do excellent in my hard Lake Erie tap water at 68-72 degrees. Very long lived. Not picky eaters. Tetramim flake, Ken's earthworm flake, frozen brine and frozen bloodworms. Fry are small but hardy and fast growing. I start mine out on microworms and after about a week or so they are eating baby brine and 5-50 micron golden pearls. The only drawback is the sex ratio disparity. My experience and just about everyone I've talked to that's kept them report very heavy male sex ratio. That's why I rarely offer them on Aquabid. Typically I have a short waiting list of folks looking for young adult pairs. Shipping is $15.00 non-refundable on top of the winning bid. This auction will ship Friday 9/28.
