Description

2 young pairs of aphyosemion striatum Cape Esterias. These are a beautiful mop spawner. I keep my breeders in a bare 5 gallon aquarium with a couple floating and a couple sinking yarn mops. Temps fluctuate between 68 and 72 degrees in my fish room depending on the season. I think this is one killifish that suffers from being kept at tropical temps. Their longevity is drastically reduced. They do well in my hard Lake Erie tap water. I hand pick eggs and water incubate. Incubation is about 14 days. I've also successfully incubated eggs in peat. Free swimming fry will initially eat microworms and vinegar eels. After a few days they will begin to eat newly hatched brine shrimp. Adults are not picky. Mine eat Tetramin flake, frozen brine shrimp and frozen blood worms. Anything live is not refused either. Shipping is $15.00 non-refundable on top of the winning bid. This auction closes 8/22 and will ship Friday 8/24/18. Payment is requested by the end of the day 8/23/18. If payment is not received as requested, I will relist the auction. Thanks for looking.
