Finally the japanese ricefish (oryzias latipes)or medaka has come to the USA. These beautiful little fish have been recently featured in a popular aquarium magazine and ever since have taken American aquarium enthusiasts by storm. I finally have enough to start selling the young. These beautiful little fish have been bred in Japan since the 1300's and have been developed into many gorgeous breeds. They are remarkably hardy fish as well being able to withstand harsh winters under the ice. This hardiness makes them excellent pond residents for mosquito control, or just for small ponds where koi won't work. In this listing I will include 8 young at 1/4 inch size (they are very hardy and ship well). You will receive 8 of the following kind: Moonlight(oryzias latipes). Beautiful fish that shines under blue or moonlight a shiny silver color. Though tiny now they grow very fast and can reach full adult breeding size of 1.5inches in 6 weeks.
