Description

IMPORTANT: I ship to the address provided in your payment. If paying by paypal, please, please make sure that shipping address is correct before clicking the send button. Shipping days get hectic, and it's easy to miss requests to ship elsewhere. Thanks...

One male and one female of one of the most beautiful aquarium fish in the world - N. rachovii Beira 98 - each about 1" in length as of this writing. They are just beginning to color up, but they grow quickly and the male should be beautiful in a few weeks. Title picture is a male from previous generation of this strain. A gorgeous Notho that's moderately difficult to keep and breed.

RACs are a classic "annual" peat spawning killifish (dry incubation about 5-6 months) whose natural habitat dries up seasonally. So they need to live fast and die young; they mature at 4-6 weeks of age, grow and breed like crazy, then kinda run out of gas. My fish usually have a life expectancy of 6 to 12 months; some hobbyists report up to 2 years or so. The best way to enjoy these is to learn to breed and rear them yourself, so there's always a new crop coming up as the old one ages.

They are currently eating live and frozen foods, and occasionally small pellet foods. They grow quickly, and are already exhibiting spawning behavior.

Limited additional pairs available.

Cold Weather Shipping: I ship to US only; shipping may need to be coordinated around weather and postal holidays. Fish usually ship the Monday or Tuesday after payment clears to reduce risk of spending a weekend parked outside some postal sorting station. Please include $17.00 for Priority Mail or $45 for Express Mail. Multiple fish or egg purchases can be shipped together for no additional shipping charge.

Payment: please pay by money order or paypal within 3 days of purchase. The email address that Aquabid provides in the winning bidder notice is my paypal address, so if you know your total, feel free to pay before contacting me. Otherwise, I usually send out an email within a day of auction end. If you prefer to pay by money order, the Aquabid address is again correct; please let me know when money order is in the mail. I am often looking to clear tanks to make room for the next hatch, so prompt payment is always appreciated.
