IMPORTANT: I ship to the address provided in your payment. If paying by paypal, please, please make sure that shipping address is correct before clicking the send button. Shipping days get hectic, and it's easy to miss requests to ship elsewhere. Thanks... Listing is for one nice young pair of the fascinating Aphanius mento, each about 1" long. Additional pairs available.
Title picture is of male from preceding generations; females as usual show very little color or markings. Your fish are just starting to color up, but males get even more striking as they mature. These are a fairly small killifish; some males get almost 2", females usually a bit smaller.
A fairly easy killifish to keep that likes harder water: mine are in moderately hard water, temperature in the low 70s F., and eat live and frozen foods (brine, bloodworms, blackworms) voraciously, and even eat flake foods when the get in feeding frenzy mode. Great jumpers; keep 'em covered. These are pretty aggressive little guys, might be kept with other active tankmates that stay out of their way.
Shipping: I ship to US only; shipping may need to be coordinated around weather and postal holidays. Fish usually ship the Monday or Tuesday after payment clears to reduce risk of spending a weekend parked outside some postal sorting station. Please include $17.00 for Priority Mail or $45 for Express Mail. Multiple fish or egg purchases can be shipped together for no additional shipping charge.
Payment: please pay by money order or paypal within 3 days of purchase. The email address that Aquabid provides in the winning bidder notice is my paypal address, so if you know your total, feel free to pay before contacting me. Otherwise, I usually send out an email within a day of auction end. If you prefer to pay by money order, the Aquabid address is again correct; please let me know when money order is in the mail. I am often looking to clear tanks to make room for the next hatch, so prompt payment is always appreciated.
