IMPORTANT: I ship to the address provided in your payment. If paying by paypal, please, please make sure that shipping address is correct before clicking the send button. Shipping days get hectic, and it's easy to miss requests to ship elsewhere. Thanks... Auction is for one nice breeding pair of the beautiful killifish Aplochelus lineatus, each about 2" long. They are well colored out and happily laying eggs. Additional pairs available.
Title picture is of male from preceding generations; females as usual show lesser color or markings. These are a fairly large killie, males gets 3 to almost 4 inches, females usually a bit smaller. This is the "Red" strain, with multicolored iridescence on a silver background. Lineatus are one of the killies that are often kept in community tanks with medium-sized non-aggressive fish.
One of the easiest killifish to keep and breed: mine are in moderately hard water, temperature in the low 70s F., and eat flake, pellet, live and frozen foods (brine, bloodworms, blackworms) voraciously. Very easy top mop-spawner with large, easy to find eggs and a 2 week incubation. Great jumpers; keep 'em covered.
Cold Weather Shipping: I ship to US only; shipping may need to be coordinated around weather and postal holidays. Fish usually ship the Monday or Tuesday after payment clears to reduce risk of spending a weekend parked outside some postal sorting station. Please include $17.00 for Priority Mail with heat pack or $45 for Express Mail. Multiple fish or egg purchases can be shipped together for no additional shipping charge.
Payment: please pay by money order or paypal within 3 days of purchase. The email address that Aquabid provides in the winning bidder notice is my paypal address, so if you know your total, feel free to pay before contacting me. Otherwise, I usually send out an email within a day of auction end. If you prefer to pay by money order, the Aquabid address is again correct; please let me know when money order is in the mail. I am often looking to clear tanks to make room for the next hatch, so prompt payment is always appreciated.
