IMPORTANT: I ship to the address provided in your payment. If paying by paypal, please, please make sure that shipping address is correct before clicking the send button. Shipping days get hectic, and it's easy to miss requests to ship elsewhere. Thanks... Auction is for one nice young pair of the fascinating killifish Pachypanchax playfairii, each about 1" long. Additional pairs available.
Title picture is of male from preceding generations; females as usual show very little color or markings. Your fish are just starting to color up, but get even more metallic vibrance as they mature. These get to be a fairly mid-sized killifish; some males get almost 3", females usually a bit smaller.
One of the easiest killifish to keep: mine are in moderately hard water, temperature in the low 70s F., and eat live and frozen foods (brine, bloodworms, blackworms) voraciously, and even eat flake foods when the get in feeding frenzy mode. Great jumpers; keep 'em covered. These are top-dwellers, and one of a few killifish that are assertive and competitive enough to be kept in community aquariums.
Shipping: I ship to US only; shipping may need to be coordinated around weather and postal holidays. Fish usually ship the Monday or Tuesday after payment clears to reduce risk of spending a weekend parked outside some postal sorting station. Please include $15.00 for Priority Mail or $40 for Express Mail. Multiple fish or egg purchases can be shipped together; I can usually get 4 small pairs in the box for no additional postage.
Payment: please pay by money order or paypal within 3 days of purchase. The email address that Aquabid provides in the winning bidder notice is my paypal address, so if you know your total, feel free to pay before contacting me. Otherwise, I usually send out an email within a day of auction end. If you prefer to pay by money order, the Aquabid address is again correct; please let me know when money order is in the mail. I am often looking to clear tanks to make room for the next hatch, so prompt payment is always appreciated.
