Shipping days get hectic, and it's easy to miss requests to ship elsewhere. Thanks... Auction is for one nice pair of the annual killifish Ophthalmolebias constanciae. They were hatched in late October and early November, and are actively spawning. Male is close to 2", female closer to 1". Additional pairs available.
Picture is a male of the current batch. Females, as usual, have lesser coloration or markings.
A fairly easy killifish to keep: mine are in moderately hard water, temperature in the low 70s F., with a tablespoon of non-iodized salt per 5 gallons to ward off velvet infections. They love weekly water changes. They eat live and frozen foods (brine, bloodworms, blackworms) voraciously, and even eat flake foods when the get in feeding frenzy mode. Effective jumpers; keep 'em covered.
Typical soil-spawner with an incubation time of 8 weeks if eggs are stored in the mid-70s F.
Shipping: I ship to US only; shipping may need to be coordinated around weather and postal holidays. Fish usually ship the Monday or Tuesday after payment clears to reduce risk of spending a weekend parked outside some postal sorting station. Please include $15.00 for Priority Mail or $40 for Express Mail. Multiple fish or egg purchases can be shipped together.
Payment: please pay by money order or paypal within 3 days of purchase. The email address that Aquabid provides in the winning bidder notice is my paypal address, so if you know your total, feel free to pay before contacting me. Otherwise, I usually send out an email within a day of auction end. If you prefer to pay by money order, the Aquabid address is again correct; please let me know when money order is in the mail. I am often looking to clear tanks to make room for the next hatch, so prompt payment is always appreciated.
