First off, if you've never seen a pygmy sunfish spawning dance, you've got to see one; they're great. Here's a fourteen second video. http://youtu.be/Ew-pRSuSYPcThat guy sorta barreled into the lady though, which is not the point, lol. Anyway...You are bidding on six juvenile elassoma okefenokee. This is a one inch species of from the Atlantic coast of Florida. They do not eat fish flakes, but readily accept the frozen bloodworms sold in packs of 30 for $5 from Petsmart. You can also breed grindal worms to feed them for about $5 in dog kibbles a year. The fry get to be a half inch in length (half grown) and start breeding dancing when they're about four months old. These juveniles are already about two to three months old. These fish have a one or two year life span.Pygmy sunfish are one inch long. That's really very small, so it's not that they don't like current, just that currents are much bigger for them. They will readily play in the current and enjoy it if you also give them a slackwater area to go hang out in when they're tired. The babies are easy to raise, and since these fish have a two year ish max lifespan, raising their fry is not a bad idea. Just put the adults in a container (for example a 5 or 10 gallon tank) for a month and then pull them out and you will see fry. The fry readily accept copepods, baby brine shrimp, microworms, vinegar eels, etc. Shipping is $15 to the continental United States and is tracked, insured, and GUARANTEED.
