IMPORTANT: I ship to the address provided in your payment. If paying by paypal, please, please make sure that shipping address is correct before clicking the send button. Shipping days get hectic, and it's easy to miss requests to ship elsewhere. Thanks... Auction is for one nice young pair of the beautiful killifish Nothobranchius jubbi, each about 1" long. Additional pairs are also available at this time.
This is a classic aquarium strain with no collection data. Pictured is an adult male of the parent generation; your fish will be smaller and not yet fully colored. A relatively large notho; males get well over 2", and the extended fin rays on the dorsal and anal fins are quite striking when they are displaying. Females, as usual, have very little coloration or markings.
A fairly easy killifish to keep: mine are in moderately hard water, temperature in the low 70s F., with a tablespoon of non-iodized salt per 5 gallons to ward off velvet infections. They love weekly water changes. They eat live and frozen foods (brine, bloodworms, blackworms) voraciously, and even eat flake foods when the get in feeding frenzy mode. Effective jumpers; keep 'em covered.
Typical soil-spawning Nothobranchius with an incubation time of 4-5 months if eggs are stored in the mid-70s F.
Shipping: I ship to US only; shipping may need to be coordinated around weather and postal holidays. Fish usually ship the Monday or Tuesday after payment clears to reduce risk of spending a weekend parked outside some postal sorting station. Please include $15.00 for Priority Mail or $40 for Express Mail. Multiple fish or egg purchases can be shipped together; I can usually get 5 small pairs in the box for no additional postage.
Payment: please pay by money order or paypal within 3 days of purchase. The email address that Aquabid provides in the winning bidder notice is my paypal address, so if you know your total, feel free to pay before contacting me. Otherwise, I usually send out an email within a day of auction end. If you prefer to pay by money order, the Aquabid address is again correct; please let me know when money order is in the mail. I am often looking to clear tanks to make room for the next hatch, so prompt payment is always appreciated.
