Our shrimp are heavily culled and superbly cared for. Every shrimp will be young, healthy, and look appealing. We only ship perfect shrimp!!!

Make immediate payment. Even though we may not yet be in contact, an immediate payment is the best thing you can do to ensure a speedy shipment.

Shrimp will range in size from a large grain of rice to young adult. Of the adult shrimp, we ensure there is a higher percentage of females over males. It�s common to receive baby shrimp that were incidentally caught, but are not included in the count.

WINTER WEATHER INSTRUCTIONS: Check your weather Wednesday thru Friday of the upcoming week - about when your shrimp would arrive. If the overnight lows are below freezing don�t order. The most dangerous time for a shipment is when out for delivery. Also, consider having your package held for pick up at your local post office.


FREE PLANT:
We include a random plant start for the shrimp to hold onto during shipment. You may select the plant. Your choices are: EN: Egeria najas �narrow leaf� - CD: Ceratophyllum demersum �hornwort� - PS: Pogostemon stellatus �octopus� - RR: Rotala rotundifolia - MM Micranthemum micranthemoides �pearl weed�.


SHIPPING:
Shrimp are shipped in 2-liter plastic bottles placed into a USPS flat rate bag. Why? Soda/water bottles are shatter resistant and hold substantially more water, reducing stress, water toxicity, and the additional volume of water protects against sudden thermal changes.

When transitioning your new shrimp do so in the bottle. Pick any plants out beforehand.

The most vulnerable time for a package is when out for delivery. Leave your mail carrier a message that you are expecting a highly perishable package, and to deliver it to your door with a knock. Don�t neglect this step, it�s the most important thing you can do to ensure a live delivery.
