SHRIMP:
10+2 �Blue Dream� neocaridina. These are born & raised in my aquariums, well cared for, thus superb quality. Below is a list of free items, I will include 2 if requested.

Shipped in 1 & 2-liter soda bottles placed into priority mail bags. Why? A soda bottle is much sturdier than a plastic bag, allowing for a much larger quantity of water, which improves survivability greatly. No insulation is used other than the mailer bubble bag - the larger quantity of water aids in moderating temperature just as well as an insulated box that contains only a cup or two of water. Transition them when in the bottle, then gently pour the transitioned shrimp into their new tank.

FYI: I guarantee 10 live shrimp. The +2 are added to compensate for any fatalities during shipping. A couple additional shrimp on top of the 10+2, lower grade culls caught while packaging your order, may be included. The guarantee doesn�t cover free items, just 10 shrimp & shipping. FYI: I have Russian red daphnia in most of my shrimp-only tanks, so it�s likely your order may contain a few. They aren�t an issue; I�m letting you know as I get a lot of inquiries about the cute thing bouncing around with the shrimp...it�s a Russian red daphnia. They love living with the shrimp uncared for, the shrimp love eating the daphnia that naturally die, and I end up with a surplus of daphnia to feed fish with. These are one of the largest daphnia and easy to remove if unwanted however, they are super cute so try and keep them alive...they are great indicators of water quality. If you want additional daphnia they are listed with the free items where more will be included.

GUARANTEE:
If DOA, provide a picture, and a one time replacement will be sent at zero cost to you. Please don't file a return as that usually adds additional steps for us both - just send a picture and we will send another package.

For most of the trip a package is in temperature controlled environments and safe. The most vulnerable time for a package is while it�s with your local carrier or sitting in your mailbox. Prior to ordering, check your forecast the upcoming Wednesday thru Friday, which is when the shrimp should arrive. Only order if that forecast is mild & cloudy. Then, meet the mail carrier and take the package from them directly. If placed in your mailbox, or left in the sun, it will bake within minutes.


SET-UP:
Start with the standard setup: water, gravel, sponge filter, small plant, heater set no less than 65 degrees, and a light. Driftwood and snails are helpful.

My Water:
Shrimp are kept in unaltered tap water. My parameters are middle of the road in regards to softness/hardness & pH. The only additives used are plant fertilizers.

Food:
I feed my shrimp a very diverse and vitamin rich diet. Fed soft/softened produce(broccoli, calliflower, melon, etc), quality fish foods, squished snails, dead fish, live food from my cultures, rice...there is little they won�t at least pick at. A light aids greatly in supporting a biome that the shrimp can feed from.
