Description

This is a very interesting, new line of neocaridina shrimp I have obtained. They have a stunning solid black color making for a gorgeous piece of any aquarium. The thing about them is they have not been line bred as long as some other colors, so they still throw some other colors (red, blue, clear, etc). I love this line because even as they age their color can get darker still.

All the color variants of the cherry shrimp are very hardy. They will live in a broad range of water parameters. They do require a moderate amount of hardness in their water, though.

The different color variants of cherry shrimp (all of the Neocaridina genus) can and will interbreed with each other giving unpredictable results. I've found it best to keep them in their own tanks. They will live very peaceably with other fish, so long as they cannot fit them in their mouth (like fry) and vice-versa.

Common Name: Black Rose Shrimp

Scientific Name: Neocaridina davidi

Size: 0.5 - 1.25 in

Temperature: 68-78F

pH: 6.8-8.0

TDS: 200-400 ppm

I typically have these out the door in 1-2 business days. Shipping is $15 for USPS Priority Mail. These typically arrive in 2-3 days, which is good for most things. If you would like other shipping options, contact me before the auction closes for a quote. Also, during extreme hot or cold weather, it is strongly advised to have the package held at the post office for you to pick up. This way they are in a heated/air conditioned post office and not on a mail truck for hours and hours during this kind of weather. Just let me know and I'll be happy to do this for you and the animals.

Be sure to check the JC's Fish web site for current stock lists and other sales. Illinois residents will have sales tax added.
