Description

1 Young Adult with eggs berried and a few babies assorted sizes. Shipping $15.00 USPS priority mail. The Self-Cloning Marmorkreb Crayfish is an incredible anomaly of biology: an all-female mutation that produces its own fertilized eggs that develop into exact clones of the mother. Some speculate that it is a mutation of a Procambarus species or a mutated hybrid of a Procambarus and another unrelated crayfish. As it matures, this crayfish may become territorial. It is important to provide hiding places Self cloning crayfish were first discovered in the 1990's at a German pet store. These are the only crayfish species known to self clone. They are ALL FEMALE and do not need a male to mate. I recommend a 10 gallon tank size minimum the bigger the better. You will need additional tank space soon. If overclouded they will eat each other. They grow fast and are very adaptive to most water conditions. As with all aquatic animals ammonia and nitrite will kill them. They will uproot and eat most plants and snails. I do keep Malaysian Trumpet Snails with mine =====Please note: They will and do turn all shades of blue and can change to tan and gray. Diets and water temps might play a part in coloring===== Crayfish NEED oxygen and clean water. Provide plenty of hiding spaces as they like to hide. My crays live with guppies, BUT use caution as they will snag a slow moving or sick fish. I feed them fish food pellets, carrots, broccoli, apples, algae wafers, earthworm sticks, kale, etc. Mine also love algae. In rare case of DOA video or clear pictures must be sent within 1 hour of delivery. A shipping charge of $15 will be required for replacement. Extra are included in the rare event of DOA freebies are not covered. Shipping days Monday Tuesday and Saturday. Please do not purchase and request later days. Never Release into any waterway!. As well as any other fish or invertebrate. Check with local wildlife to make sure they are legal in your area!
