Description

These bright red freshwater shrimp will be an eye-catcher in your aquarium.� While males may change the intensity of their coloring day-by-day, the females hold it most all the time.� They show their color the best on a dark substrate, as I learned when I was new to keeping them.

All the color variants of the cherry shrimp are very hardy.� They will live in a broad range of water parameters.� They do require a moderate amount of hardness in their water, though.

The different color variants of cherry shrimp (all of the Neocaridina genus) can and will interbreed with each other giving unpredictable results.� I've found it best to keep them in their own tanks.� They will live very peaceably with other fish, so long as they cannot fit them in their mouth (like fry) and vice-versa.

Shipping is $15 for USPS Priority Mail. These typically arrive in 2-3 days, which is good for most things. If you would like other shipping options, contact me before the auction closes for a quote. Also, during extreme hot or cold weather, it is strongly advised to have the package held at the post office for you to pick up. This way they are in a heated/air conditioned post office and not on a mail truck for hours and hours during this kind of weather.
