Description

These are from a deep orange female and a deep blue male, they are all orange now but not sure if the color will change as they mature, so far the blues are born blue and stay that way so I'm assuming these will stay orange also. The adults are 4-6 inches tail to claw end with excellent color. They are cannibalistic but we keep 4 adults in a 20 gal. long with several caves and clay pots and some plastic plants and haven't had any problems. They will need lots of hiding places while they are growing as they molt frequently and are then most likely to be picked off by larger and/or more aggressive. I generally separate them into smaller tanks/spaces to make sure they make it to adulthood. They eat a mix of bottom feeder pellets, canned french style green beans, flake, zucchini, snails, pretty much anything that drops in the tank. Not compatible with any bottom type fish, pleco, cory etc. The crays don't seem to be fast enough to catch mid to top swimmers but it's possible for them to be caught when the lights go out! Probably best not to risk keeping with you favorite fish, they also like to climb the air hoses and escape so cover you tank well or at least block off any areas where they can reach the top. Shipping is $12.00 FedEx 2-day. LAG as long as you are available for the first delivery attempt. No refund on shipping charges, FedEx does not deliver to P.O. box addresses.
