Super Speedy Red Cherry Shrimp

You are buying 25, I am shipping 30 (34 with Buy it Now). The shrimp will be a mix of juveniles and young adults, no peewees or old adults, random mix of males & females.

A few years ago I bought some red cherry shrimp. A few months later I put them in with some Endlers, and a ton of moss and subwassertang. The population didn't increase much but enough shrimplets survived to replace the aging ones. It remained that way through last summer. Then in the fall I started noticing more, gave some away. Nothing else was different, not even the food, but the population was starting to increase significantly. The only thing I can think of is that the dumb slow ones have never grown up to reproduce. But the wily fast shrimp have done the survival of the fittest thing and they are semi-fish-resistant. Well, at least Endlers. YMMV

These are not the Fire type, just your basic easy Red Cherries. The only thing about their appearance worth mentioning is that sometimes the mature females turn purple, when it happens it's usually just a little but once in a while they are a very deep dark purple, almost looks black. You can sort of see what I mean in this picture but they were darker before I caught them. Weird huh? When I was shipping some of these out last week I even found a female carrying blue eggs, not the usual yellow/green. ?????

I will throw in a heaping cup of that subwassertang (think Pyrex glass measuring cup to the rim like THIS), it's a great shrimp plant. And some Mini Veggie Sticks with Calcium that they like and a few Acer saccharum leaves which I prefer over oak.

Shipping... Since no one EVER says "I know it cost you more than what I paid you for shipping, so here's an extra $5", and I really hate doing shipping quotes for people who are just window shopping, I am charging close to worst case for shipping and refunding when it's less. And yes, I really do refund, look for yourself..

Term details are on my Just Me page which was updated January 18th 2013. Please read it before bidding. A copy is also included in this auction as commented out text. Please do not bid if you cannot pay AND accept delivery promptly, the only reason I delay shipment is my weather.

Payment is by PayPal only, no e-checks. When paying with PayPal, you must use a shipping address. If you want shipping to an Unconfirmed address, email before bidding/buying to discuss this.

Priority Mail is $18, excess will be refunded. Express is required to locations with low temps below 10F. The shrimp will be in a medium Breather Bag, with a bit of ammonia absorbing material, in a well insulated box with heatpack as required. LAG for 3 days if >20F and <80F.

Some of my other auctions may be combined with this for savings on shipping costs.

Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK!
