Description

48 Hour auction! Five whisker shrimp plus one extra to cover any issues with the first five. You must pay by Sunday night and shipping will be Monday only. Keeping and raising freshwater shrimp is exploding in popularity! Here is a freshwater shrimp which you may not have seen. You will not even find a lot about it on the internet. These are large adult shrimp at about 1.5 inches currently. These belong to a variety of shrimp termed "long arm shrimp". They have long front arms that can get more than half the size of the shrimp body. They get their name because they have large whiskers like a cat. They can get aggressive with each other. Five to six or so of this size would be very comfortable in a 10 gallon aquarium. I will try very hard to get you at least one and perhaps more sure females. This shrimp is generally tolerant of a wide variety of ph and whater hardness. However, a ph of more than 7 is advised and this is a shrimp that does best in slightly to moderately hard water. It is not a soft water shrimp which makes it easy to keep in most city water. While they can be kept in a community tank...I reccomend seperate tanks for all shrimp or putting them with fish that are much smaller than the shrimp. Give them lots of places to hide. Shrimp molt and they are very vulnurable during this time to fish and other shrimp. This is an incredibly fun shrimp to watch. Its a great algae eater with its long erector set like front arms. I have more photos at the link below. I do not have a lot of experience shipping these shrimp so they will go in an insulated medium flat rate box with double bagged Kordon breather bags. Shipping by Priority 2-3 day mail will be $15.00. In the event of death, clear photos showing the dead shrimp must be provided on the day of delivery for a refund. Shipping is not refundable.
