Description

No reserve. This is basically an auction for folks who are familiar with me who might be interested in these babies. (4) OE high grade Black Tiger x OE Blue Tiger HYBRID offspring, siblings, about half inch size This is just to inform you that I'm re-arranging some tanks right now, and have four (4) approx 1/2 inch OE high grade black tiger x OE blue tiger hybrid offspring I'm putting up no reserve. They look for all the world just like blonde orange eyed blue tigers, and will mature as such, also. However, they were the result of a mating in a tank that ONLY contained a male OE blue tiger and a female high grade OE black tiger for the past year, and genetically they are half OE high grade black tiger. I cannot in any way verify this to you since the hybrids look exactly like blonde OEBTs, but I do know that there were only two shrimp in that entire tank for the past year as stated, so if you are at all skeptical, disregard this auction! They are healthy and vigorous, and if you wanted to see if you can keep them, or if you want to try some mad shrimp experimentation to create something interesting, or if you have black tigers and need more population to breed to, then there is a certain opportunity here. (Back story:)The female black tiger (mother) showed a shell deformity at half-inch juvie size. She was removed from my black tiger tank, spent two weeks in a quarantine tank (this was about a year ago) soaking in Sulmet (a broad spectrum antibiotic), and then was placed into an empty tank. I did not know if the shell deformity was infection or something else, but if if was it was totally nuked by the Sulmet and she's been fine and molting for about a year, now, although her shell has never returned to normal shape. About nine months later, I finally felt sorry for her and gave her a husband, wondering if she could bear young. (At the time I put her into the tank initially, I did not know her gender as she was too small.) I just plucked a male OEBT as I have a lot of them to spare. At this time, she had tripled in size, gone through many molts, and was healthy but deformed. She did berry up and bear these young; I had seen her berried but never bothered to check the weeds for if she carried to term. Today, as I was preparing to re-set that tank for another project, I discovered the young in there, and can't figure out what to do with them, so they are going up for auction to whomever has interest in them. Oh, I should add that they can come with their tank moss, enough to basically fill a 10 gallon tank. Shipping is $16 priority, $35 express, weather permitting. -DK
