Up for auction is two 1" berried female undescribed prawn. Sorry i have no photos yet and i have never seen anything like it online. This prawn grows to 2-3" inches. Sub-adults, although sexually mature, look similar to a common grass shrimp, however, look closely and you will see red dots on the tail fins, white antennae & red claws, when grown, the back of the prawn has stripes like a tiger shrimp and the tail has distinct red dots on each fin & the antennae are white & claws are bright red. I hate to post something without a photo but i think you'll be pleasantly surprised!, especially when the prawns mature into beautiful living gems. They are a beautiful clean-up crew, chowing hungrily on leftover flake and anything edible that sinks to the bottom. Very prolific. Does best with a tiny bit of salt added, unless a planted tank. Unclear whether the fry actually require salt water to survive. I have raised them in as little as 3-5ppt. Thanks! $6.50 shipping.
