Description

Two pairs of young adult Tuxedo Koi Guppies - (2 male and 2 female)

Our Tuxedo Koi Guppy males have a red/orange head and tail, with the body being roughly half black and half platinum with a blue iridescence. Many have long black pectoral fins - "dumbo ears". These traits are present, along with orange nosed females, but are not yet fully set. Females are silver with orange and black tails. The guppies in the photos are close relatives of the ones that will be shipped and should be very similar in appearance (though not exactly the same) as what you receive.

My fish room is maintained at 72-78 deg F. The tanks have no heaters, and the fish do fine at fish room temperatures as long as the room stays warm (if it gets cold you may need a heater). I use RO water re-mineralized with SeaChem Equilibrium (or a custom in house mix that is similar) to a Hardness of 4-6 dH, alkalinity of 3-5 dKh, and a pH of 7.2 to 7.5. The TDS ranges from 150ppm to 250ppm. No salt (NaCl) is used or added to the tanks, though a small amount may be added to bagging water for transport.

All livestock has been bred and raised in my fish room. No fresh imports, and none of the "bonus" pests and diseases that come with fresh imports.
