Description

3 young adult pairs of moscow reds. The photo fish is representative of the fish you will receive. They are young adult fish with already sizable delta tails and dorsal fin development. I've been working with this strain for some time now in my fish room. When I originally purchased the strain the males had an extended caudal fin and the females an extended caudal and dorsal fin length. I noticed that a small percentage of fry(probably less than 10%) had males with normal triangular delta tail and females with more standard caudal and dorsal fin length. By selecting a standard delta tail male and breeding to a standard fin length female you can produce a line of standard delta moscow reds. That's what I have done in my fish room. Line A is standard delta and Line B is extended fin moscow. About every 4th generation I will cross the 2 lines and then re-establish the standard delta and extended fin moscow lines. This is a very nice, healthy strain of moscow reds. The young are cookie cutters to the parents and there are seldom any culls for major faults. I will send a combination of extended fin fish and standard delta fish to mess around with as you like. Shipping is $20 non-refundable on top of the winning bid. It includes insulated box and necessary heat packs to get your fish to you in excellent condition. This auction will ship Saturday 1/9 so payment is due at the close of the auction on Friday 1/8.
