This auction is for my entire colony of blue lace guppies. There are approximately three dozen fish. I am preparing to move and so I'm selling all my fish and tanks. I would prefer to not have to handle life support while I move. I'd rather slowly take my time designing and setting up a new fish room and only then get more fish, to avoid having to worry about life support during my fish room design and setup time. So there's nothing wrong with this colony; they're quite wonderful really; I'm just moving and don't want them to have to deal with a move. The pictures you see are of their grandpa. Here is a video of the grandparents of the fish you're bidding on: youtube.com/watch?v=QPWXfWVNNrk Here is a video of the fish in May of 2018: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjsAubtN5ic I ship in styrofoam lined USPS Priority speed boxes for $15 per box. This colony will probably take two boxes to ship, so that's $30. I've already included the $30 shipping cost in the price of the auction. These fish are currently in pH 6.5, KH 5, 75 degree Fahrenheit fresh water. Please drip acclimate them for three hours when they arrive. How I breed my fish: I outcross my blue lace guppy line every two years by adding females of similar lines (I use blue grass females for this blue lace line) and removing all subsequent dissimilar-looking male offspring from the herd. As a result my blue lace guppy line is not excessively inbred and has a lot of hybrid vigor. There is great immune system variety in the herd and they are healthy. They have nice straight spines and thick peduncles. This method of outcrossing means my guppy line maintains their characteristic blue lace appearance without having to breed with another fish too closely related to them.
