Description

Legend has it that these fish are from a remote river in Japan. This strain of guppies survived the harsh Japanese winters because the water was kept warm by runoff from a nearby Nuclear Power Plant. This accounted for their survival and their unique almost fluorescent blue coloring. While this may just be a good story, the behavior and coloring of these guppies are both unique and amazing. The males are a brilliant blazing blue, some with a small black dot, and some with a little bit of red in their fins and upper body. They are very different from most guppies in that they will not eat their young. It is not unusual to see a small cloud of fry swimming around the parents. They are very hardy and require no special treatment. With their refusal to consume the kids, it will not take long to build up a good sized, healthy colony. Each pair will be young adults, females will most likely be pre-hit. Shipping is $12.00 for Priority and $44.00 for Express. All auctions include �extras� in case of any shipping losses.
