Description

Goleta Wild Darts

This Auction is for three pairs of this 'wild' or 'feral' type guppies from Goleta, California.

These fish have not been inbred into a representation of an idealized wild type. There's a lot of individual variation within the strain. This rare strain has a vigor and wild behaviors that are normally lost in line breeding programs. In fact, they are so active that getting clear photographs of them is a challenge.

The bold geometric body patterns and striking colors are a hallmark of the wild heritage of the species. They are some seriously cool fish.

The strain produces a few swords, but mostly has these blunt little tails with a solar eclipse pattern on them. The photographs really don't do these little guys justice. A lot of the color and patterning visible to the naked eye gets washed out in the pictures. They are absolutely unique, eye catching little fish.

The fish in the photographs are not necessarily the same ones that you'll recieve in your set, but the pictures are representative of the strain.

For me, selling the fish is more of an extension of the hobby than a business. If you have any questions or comments please don't hesitate to contact me and I'll happy to answer them if I'm able.

One of the things I don't like about ordering fish online is often the breeder sends siblings from the same drop. I don't like being tied to a breeder for a genetic refill after only a few generations. I certainly won't be doing that to you either. The three pairs that I'll be sending will be from different drops and parents so that you won't get into a genetic bottleneck anytime soon.

My guarantee is pretty simple. I'll replace any dead fish if, the buyer pays for another round of shipping. Shipping and handling costs $16.00 and the buyer is always responsible for paying it. Sorry, no refunds.

I don't require any clear photos of dead fish in bags or proof of any kind. Your word is good enough for me. I'll believe you if you say they showed up dead and do my best to replace them and make you happy. However, I do require that you contact me within an hour of delivery in the unlikely event of a problem and I will not pay for replacement shipping costs. Remember no matter what you pay for the shipping and that it is non-refundable.

Note: Please make sure that PayPal has your current and correct mailing address.
