Description

This auction is for 5 (+2 extras) unsexed guppy fry from which were fathered by the male in the picture. As you can see he is a big healthy red male. What is hard to see in the picture is a light opalescent sheen that is beautiful and I have never seen it before in a guppy. The mother was either the one in the picture or one that has more orange in her tail. They are both big healthy mothers that drop huge batches of fry. These fry range from 1 week to 2 months old and were born right here in the good ole USA in my home tank. Shipping is $9.00 and includes a styrofoam lined box and a bit of java moss. If your temperatures are below freezing, you can add a 72 hour heat pack for $3.00 more. I ship USPS Priority and will provide a tracking number through Paypal. I only ship to the continental US. I will ship on the Monday or Wednesday after your payment clears. In the unlikely case that the fry are dead on arrival, I will reship for the cost of shipping upon receipt of a picture showing the dead fish in the bag within 3 hours of the 1st delivery attempt. Make your PayPal payment to Grumpybearart@yahoo,com Fish need to be slowly acclimated to their new environment to lessen the stresses of shipping, changes in water quality, temperature, and lighting. Shipping can be a stressful process and careful acclimation with a little TLC for the first few days will insure long-term success. To aclimate your fry, put the fish in a small bowl which you float in the top of your aquarium. Add 1 tablespoon of tank water to the bowl every 5 minutes for about an hour. After 1 hour you can add the fry to your tank. If you have other fish in the tank, realize that they may be interested in eating the fry. To help your them survive, feed your fish and turn the lights off to the tank prior to adding the fry and give them lots of hiding places such as live or fake plants.
