Red Lace Snakeskins and Blue FireFins

This is the last auction for these for a while. I wasn't going to run it because I only have 2 females for 5 males. But then I was thinking about how fertile they are. You would have dozens of fry in your tanks before I probably even run another auction. You will get 3 young adult male firefins, slightly younger than the ones I have been shipping. The more you have, the better the chance you will end up with one of them turning purple (see below). You will also get 2 snakeskin males and I hope you give them a chance because as mature fish they are really nice. There is a link to a PhotoBucket album of the actual auction fish towards the end of the auction.

I got the original pair of these as freebies with some really nice fish I bought last spring. And to be honest, I liked the pair better than the $$$ ones I had purchased. Check this guy out.

I have gotten two kinds of fry. Snakeskins just like daddy and some wacky blue firefins. Except I didn't know they were firefins right away... Up close I would give the edge to the snakeskins, they are more refined. But the firefins are so metallic and bright that they have the bright red/blue effect of cardinal tetras, but in guppy form.

Lighting drastically changes how these look. Both the snakes and firefins can show every color in the rainbow. The pictures below of the firefins were taken at three different times and in different lighting.

The fish below is the brother of the fish for sale. Yes, his fins are really light purple. I took the dullest most dimly lit photo I could this time because the last one I took under the bright plant lights looked fake. It does not develop until they are fully mature so it is possible others may turn out like this.

So again, this auction is for a total of 7 fish. You will receive 3 male firefins, 2 male snakes and 2 young females. Before you ask, no there are not extra females. I had only kept females to go with the snakeskins, hadn't imagined the firefins would turn out so cool. The young females you will receive have been living with that purple male above for the last couple of weeks and will stay with him until they are shipped. So even if none of those males develop that color, you may still get fry that will some day. If you like the snakes better, put the females with them. The two versions are essentially the same fish, the only real difference is that one has the snakeskin pattern.

I am only keeping a few males and have already chosen the males which will go with this auction. I tried taking pictures of them in different lighting and instead of choosing a couple that try to show all five fish, I am just going to give you a link to a whole bunch of pictures. The ones with a really warm tones were taken with just late afternoon natural daylight. That little snake male has an albino red lace snake mother.

These are very easy fish. The fry are decent sized and adults are not very predatory towards them.

Check my other auctions for more guppies and combine shipping.

Term details are on my Just Me page. Please read it before bidding. A copy of these terms is also included in this auction as commented out text and can be viewed by looking at the page source. Please do not bid if you cannot pay AND accept delivery promptly. The only reason I delay shipment is weather.

Payment is by PayPal only, no e-checks.

When paying with PayPal, you must include the address you wish the package sent to.

Priority Mail is $18 which includes a well insulated box and heatpack. I also offer USPS Express and UPS Air. I will only ship with a guaranteed Next Day service to locations with low temps under 20F, no exceptions. The costs ($30 - $80+) are likely to exceed the cost of the fish so email for a cost estimate before bidding. "Which should I choose?" LINK

LAG is unconditional with Next Day delivery, 2 days if your temps are over 20F and 3 days if your temps are over 35F. Bad weather either here or there will delay shipment.

Some of my other auctions may be combined with this for savings on shipping costs.

Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK!
