Hello!

Thanks for stopping by this auction. What we have for bid are three pairs of 3-4 month old IFGA show-quality Blue Glass (not Grass) guppies. What's the difference between Grass and Glass, you say? Well, one of the major trademark differences is that the Glass tail is semi see-through and the Grass tail is opaque. It does not show up well in the picture provided, because there is nothing immediately behind the young male. However, when viewing him in person, he has a smooth flowing tail that is see-through similar to the Laces.

If you're looking to start a new line or out-cross your own, these females have huge loads. My 4-month old females are dropping 50+ loads of fry when fed a good earthworm-based flake food supplemented with frozen bloodworms. They also grow up quickly and color out quickly when taken care of properly. The males start showing blue within a month. This line will throw about 85% Blues and some Reds, since Red is the true color. They are both gorgeous! Bright blue is one of the prettiest colors to have in your aquarium.

ABOUT US

Hello All! We just wanted to give you a little information about us. We think it is important to know from whom you are buying. Lucky Guppy is a small, family-owned fishery that has been breeding and selling guppies locally for many years in the DC, MD, VA metropolitan area. This e-commerce thing is new to us, but we are excited to be with Aquabid. We want to share our love of these gorgeous fish with more people, and hopefully, with you.

We truly do strive to make every purchase pleasant for both parties and we care deeply about our reputation. Reputation is everything. We make sure that our fish are extremely healthy. We do not import. All of our fish are born and raised in our fishery. We utilize an automatic drip water change system in our fishery, so that our fish have the highest quality water in which to grow and thrive. However, we do not sterilize our water, because we think it is important for our fish to develop immunities (and for weaker fish to show themselves and to die out) so the fish you get from us will thrive in your tank as well. We cull heavily, so that you get the best of the best. We feed our fish a very high-quality diet of live baby brine shrimp, frozen bloodworms, and a variety of nutrient-rich flake foods, including earthworm-based flake.

All in all, there are many great choices you can make here on Aquabid.com. Honestly, there are many FANTASTIC breeders here, and we could not make any negative assertion against them to promote ourselves. We wouldn't want to. However, we hope that you choose to purchase some fish from us, too! You won't regret it. Have a great day!

We accept PayPal payments only. You can send them to our email: luckyguppystore@gmail.com. Upon the closing of the auction, you will receive a money request from PayPal to complete your purchase. Prompt payment is greatly appreciated.

We ship via USPS Priority Mail (2-4 day service), and can also ship via USPS Express Mail (next day service). We charge a flat fee of $15 for Priority Mail and $35 for Express Mail shipping, which covers the supplies as well as the postage. We ship your fish with the utmost care. They are sent in a sealed styrofoam box - not a styrofoam-lined box - a WHOLE styrofoam box, so you can be sure that your fish are well insulated from the elements. Your fish will be individually bagged in Kordon breather bags with a Bag Buddy (a mild sedative) placed in each bag. For the safe transport of the fish, heat packs are included if the weather in our city or the destination city is lower than 68 degrees. We reserve the right to delay shipping if the weather is unsafe. We ship Priority Mail Monday-Wednesday as long as there is no federal holiday involved, because we do not want fish sitting in the post office going nowhere. We ship Express Mail Monday-Friday. If you choose to receive your fish through Express Mail, then we will provide a Live Arrival Guarantee (please see the terms below). If you choose Priority Mail shipping, no Live Arrival Guarantee will be extended. We have not had problems with fish arriving safely through Priority Mail, but the extent of time that they are in the post is longer than we would like to guarantee, because of the increased time as well as the increased chance of rough handling. If you pay the evening your auction ends, your fish will be shipped the very next day.

Live Arrival Guarantee:

If your fish are shipped via Express Mail, they are guaranteed to arrive alive. Unfortunately, for reasons beyond our control, they are sometimes handled roughly in the post. If any of your fish are dead on arrival, here are the steps that you need to follow in order to be covered under the guarantee:

1. Take a photograph of the dead fish in the unopened bag.
2. E-mail us (luckyguppystore@gmail.com) the photograph within one hour of the delivery time listed on the USPS website.

*The refund will be for the amount of the actual fish. No shipping charges will be refunded. If you purchase numerous fish, the price will simply be divided to determine the amount of the refund. For instance, if you purchase a trio for the price of $30 and one dies, then you will get a $10 refund.

**If you would like replacement fish instead of a cash refund, then the shipping cost of those replacement fish will be on the buyer.
