Think of the Gene Pool here there is much to work with. Yes, they will have the wild characteristics with an extremely wide gene pool. They could be bred to any other color variety which would enhance the quality adding the wild blood. They could also be bred to each other for color selection for several generations without compromising the fish. These Discus are dime size and are on liquefied beef heart but are still eating baby brine. Why ship so small? Smaller Discus acclimates better than larger Discus. Some of the best Discus I ever got where from Jack Wattley in the late 80s early 90they were $24.95 and the size of a fingernail no losses and they acclimated very quickly. Water conditions are 350 MicroSiemens less than 80 mg/l Total Hardness. The pH is not important. I do not import Discus due to diseases and parasitic issues all the Discus are bred by me.
