Dawkinsia filamentosus

12 Bold, Fast, Beautiful Barbs

Description: Post is for 12 Dawkinsia filamentosus or Filament Barbs. These are bold, strong swimmers from India. They appreciate a bit of current in their water and do better in an oxygen saturated environment. I find they do well at temperatures in the mid 70's. The fish I will send range from about 2.5" to about 4"...some may be a bit smaller or a bit larger. They eat anything I put in the tank: Flakes, pellets, frozen, and live foods are all taken with extreem gusto. They are very active and semi-aggressive. Like most barbs, they are good with other fish which can hold their own, but they will shred long, flowing fins off of tank mates, so choose partners wisely. I find their active nature, bold markings, eye spots, and red-tipped caudal fins a striking combination.

Shipping & Small Print: I have been shipping fish since the early 90's, so I know how to get them to you alive. I take great care and pride in my shipping methods. My goal is to give you the best experience possible...just check my feedback. However, while I ALWAYS fully guarantee my fish will arrive hale and hearty, if the fish sit outside for any leingth of time, they will suffer. To prevent this, I require a pic of any deceased fish be emailed to me within one hour of delivery. After an hour, I assume they were neglected on a sunny or snowy porch and baked or frozen into a culinary delight. Bon appetit!

Shipping is $30.00. I will ship these fish out on the Monday following the close of the auction. The payment deadline is midnight the Saturday the auction closes. If I have not received payment by midnight Saturday, I will re-list these fish for someone else to purchase. My PayPal address is dan@dansfish.com. I will send these to the shipping address provided by PayPal, so please check to make sure it is correct. These are beautiful fish. I'm not sure why it does not show up in the pics or the vids, but these guys have vibrant red markings on their caudal fins.
