Description

Danio roseus- 2 young pair- Recently imported from Thailand, this is a not often seen Danio perfect for those who love a slightly larger, rich, royal blue schooling fish. Imported by a local university for use in genetic research of barbel development, I had not seen a danio as strikingly beautiful. With permission through the university, I obtained them as a great complement to the wild swords and goodeids currently offered by selectaquatics.com, at a low introductory price. An egg scatterer, this fish develops blood red fins as they mature, they will grow to about 2.5- 3 inches. The perfect community fish, they are non aggressive, and show a bright blue sheen as they pass the front of the aquarium. The Danio roseus has appeared in the hobby in the past, sometimes crossed with the pearl danio- but these fish are pure Danio roseus, and are not a hybrid. Extra fish are added to every order to cover any that may be lost in shipment, though losses are rare. Shipping for a single order by Priority Mail is $15.00, overnight is $35.
