Up for auction is 6+ juvenile "Kyoga Flameback," Haplochromis Xystichromis.� The fish you will recieve are about 8 weeks old and are around a half inch.� Pictured below is the male "responsible" for the fish you will recieve.��
You don't find this species of Victorian Hap often in the hobby.� They are critically endangered in the wild and�are on the IUCN Red List along with being a C.A.R.E.S. Species.� The reasoning for this status is�Lake Victoria is facing a huge pollution and invasive species problem.� Nile perch easily out compete this species.� Its up to hobbyists like you and I to make sure that species like these live on to be enjoyed by future hobbyist down the road.��
These fish are incredibly easy to keep.� Like most african cichlids, just give them a nice hardscape with a bunch of hiding spots and room to swim and they will be happy.� They do get big as my biggest male measures�around 6 inches and my females around 4 inches.��
I have roughly 200 juveniles at this time so if you want more than 6 odds are we can work out a deal at the end of the auction.�
