bioAquatiX Neolamprologus Similis 0.5" Neolamprologus Similis : is a small shell-dwelling cichlid endemic to Lake Tanganyika, it is a golden brown fish, with multiple vertical darker stripes, it is a very attractive fish with unique behavior. They are similar to the neolamprolpogus multifasciatus, but get a little larger than multifasciatus (1.25") and Similis (1.75"-2"). The vertical stripes are not present in the multifasciatus head but are present in the Similis. All shell dweller cichlids like nice round snail shells where they can hide and breed. With multiple shell laid out throughout the aquarium, this fish will feel safe and will be interesting to watch. Over time they will breed, form nice small colonies and take care of their young. This fish will do well in aquarium of 10 gallons and up. It is a hard water species that will need a ph of 7.5 and up, temp of 78-80 would be optimal. We ship on Monday and Tuesday every week. There is no box charge. We do use O2 on all shipments. We also use ice/heat when necessary. All fish are purged for at least 24 hrs before shipment. Orders received or payed on Tuesday will be shipped the following week.We currently do not ship, when the weather is below 40 F during the day in the customer area. No live arrival when using USPS priority We only guarantee live arrival on Fedex overnight. We will replace the live fish, but customer will pay shipping again. We recommend using USPS hold for pick up when the weather is getting cold. Lows in the 40 F at night The coldest time for the shipment is in the truck on the final leg of the trip.
