Description

8 unsexed, juvenile julidochromis transcriptus Gombe. They are between 1/4" and 1/2" long. The adult pair are pictured. This is a very nice strain of transcriptus. They are short and stocky with great markings. The larger adult fish is less than 3". I've kept the adult pair with leleupi, comps and brevis with no issues. I prefer to keep them in their own tank though as fry yield is poor in a mixed Tanganyikan community tank. The pair bond is very strong. Clutches of eggs are small(20-30 on average). The adults will raise subsequent clutches of fry with older fry present. Once the youngsters start reaching sexual maturity though, the adult pair become intolerant. Shipping is $15 non-refundable on top of the winning bid. These fish will ship Monday 12/3. Payment is requested by the end of the day Sunday 12/2. If payment is not received as requested, I will relist the auction. Thanks for looking.
