Care/feeding notes: One of the smallest cichlids (some authors say THE smallest), these colony dwelling cichlids need a pile of shells to use as caves. They do best in hard, alkaline water in the mid-70�s with good filtration and regular, large water changes. They will eat newly hatched brine shrimp, microworms, micro-sized pellet foods and ground flake food. The colony will reproduce and increase in size fairly quickly, and this group will get you off to a good start. You will get whatever I can catch in two swipes of my large net through the colony tank. That is at least 8 � 12 fish of various ages and sexes.
