Description

This auction is for four (4) unsexable young Alcalapia alcalicus �Soda Cichlid� Lake Natron fry roughly 1 1/2� to 2" in size. Typically a species that requires special water parameters, we have adjusted them to more normal conditions to make it easier on the general hobbyist. Current water conditions for these young are pH 7.6, KH approx. 160-190, GH close to 150 (Medium-hard). Current temps 85 degrees.

These are a stunning and highly active fish, very interactive and enjoyable to watch. They breed rather easily but do require a substantial diet due to the higher temps and their faster metabolism. They are fed multiple times a day and given high quality pellets as well as fresh and live foods.
