Care/feeding notes: These awesome fish are true survivors. They can handle the harsh conditions of Lake Natron � high pH and high temperatures over 100 degrees F. They max out at about 5�, but most never get quite that big. These little guys are growing quickly and eating flakes, pellets, newly hatched brine shrimp and frozen copepods. They are endangered in the wild due to an extremely limited distribution. Fortunately they have proved adaptable and do well in our aquaria. These are descended from a recent collection, but are 4 or 5 generations removed from the wild and the breeding stock is from a European source. For those participating in BAP programs, they are a CARES species, too.

Not the best picture, but they are curious little guys who keep watching me and won�t pose for a picture!
