Description

-We have for offer 7 one inch Ruby Red Peacock Cichlid juveniles. This is the finest strain we have seen available, with the majority of males coloring to a brick red rather than the orange many strains achieve. After more than a decade of line breeding German and Thai bloodlines together with new German import genes added periodically to keep the gene pool strong, even a majority of the females color to the point of a good sub dominant young male. We do not feed our breeders color feed as we need to know that our breeders have the best natural colors possible to pass to their offspring. Our personal show tanks are fed astaxanthin enriched feed, which results in males from this strain coloring to a solid red throughout the body. The male pictured is a young breeder male that has not received the enriched feed. -Shipping- All fish are shipped USPS priority Monday through Wednesday. We ship hundreds of fish every week and have so for years, with all orders packed the same way as those we ship juveniles to Guatamala and other countries with U.S. presence, which can have a transit time of 5 or more days. UPS and FedEx are availabl with additional shipping charges based on the buyers zip. All orders are guaranteed live arrival with replacement provided we receive a clear image of any doa fish within 2 hours of tracking showing receipt. Image must clearly show species and size matching fish purchased. All orders are packed with extra fish in case a rough transit leads to some doa fish, and and enough feed for 2 weeks is included in each order.
