This is for a young breeding pair of Guianacara owroewefi cichlids. They�re sold in pairs at 2 to 2 1/2 inches but the males can grow to around 5�. The females are a bit smaller. At the size I�m selling they are starting to pair up and a few have laid eggs. This is one of the most interesting fish I�ve owned. They�re not a shy fish and feeding time is especially interesting. They�re constantly investigating their surroundings which should have objects that break up their line of sight. With the exception of feeding time, they keep to the lower third of the aquarium. They don�t seem to dig into the substrate much except during their preparation for breeding which is caves if you�re nice enough to give them but I suspect they�ll make do with whatever they find. I would make sure any rocks or other decorations can�t be undermined to the point where they tip over. Well rooted plants such as amazon sword, vallisneria or sagittarius are fine. Each fish needs a place to call home but despite this they don�t get into fights, just a lot of posturing common to many cichlids. I�ve never seen any torn fins in the group I keep. All this is from my observation of my group but cichlids have a wide variety of behaviors so your experience may be different
