HEROINA ISONYCTERINA
You are bidding on a group of six (6) F1 Heroina isonycterina, bred and raised by me from wild stock acquired from Jeff Rapps @ Tangled Up in Cichlids and Dan-Ye Jennings @ American Cichlids. These rare, medium-growing cichlids have only been available a handful of times in the United States since they were officially described in 1996. The wild Heroina imported in the spring of 2012 were the first wild-caught specimens to be made available here. Though their name is similar to that of severums, Heros, the fish are much more like convict cichlids in behavior and attitude. Males top out at 5 - 6" in length but the fish are feisty and active. This species seems to do best with larger cichlids or in bigger community tanks.
F1 JUVENILES @ 1.5"
These fry are now 2 months old @ approximately 1.5" in size, eating NLS Grow .5mm pellets, chopped frozen Hikari bloodworms, chopped freeze-dried blackworms, and frozen brine shrimp.
SHIPPING & PAYMENT INFORMATION
I ship juveniles in Kordon breather bags and include heat packs when needed. The USPS flat rate shipping options are:
USPS Express (1 to 2 days) - $35.00
USPS Priority (2 to 3 days) - $12.00
Live arrival guarantee with USPS Express only. Any shipments to Alaska or Hawaii must be sent Express. I only ship fish via USPS Priority on Mondays and via USPS Express on Mondays and Tuesdays. This is to ensure the maximum amount of time possible for your shipment to arrive before the weekend. While 2 - 3 days is normal for Priority and most Express is next day, delays can and do happen. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
I accept PayPal as my preferred method of payment.
