10 fish 3/4 to 1 inch in size. So you want to breed electric blue jack dempsey's but you don't have the money to buy the electric blues and you can't find anyone selling the blue gene jacks. .... Well enough people have been asking me to sell them 100% blue gene's that I ran out of them! Oh No now what!!! Well I will let you in on a little secret and you don't even have to buy anything ... just read and look. You see the two fish in the photo. They are a pair of blue gene jacks. The female is the opne with the purple sides and the male has the spangles on the side. Now remember you are looking at a pair that are a good 7 to 8 inches in size so it is easy to sex them. You can buy some of thier fry for 1/2 the price and have a 66% chance that each one of them is blue gene. Who cares. Pick up 10 of the fry and let them grow out. Pull the females out of the tank at around 4 - 5 inches in size and put them with an electric blue male jack. Out of all the females the odds are 98% that you will have at least one great pair giving you 50% electric blues and 1/2 blue gene breeders. Why am I doing this. Becuase I am seeing fewer and fewer of the electric blue jack dempsey's for sale and I don't want this fish to become one of the "We can only import them from >>>' fish.
